Beste Bart,

Ik zal nooit de avond vergeten dat ik op jouw site terecht kwam en dat er, dankzij het lezen van je artikel over het boek 'Moderne wetenschap in de Bijbel' van Ben Hobrink, een pak van mijn hart viel. Al maanden lang was ik doodsbenauwd dat de Bijbel de waarheid bevatte (hoewel ik niet meer geloofde) en dat het vreselijk met me af zou lopen. Jouw artikel maakte me gelukkig bewust van de problematiek rond die 'moderne wetenschap', en spoorde me aan om de Bijbel serieus te onderzoeken, in plaats van er bang voor te zijn. Ik wil je duizend maal bedanken voor je site, ik heb heel veel artikelen gelezen en ben een hoop wijzer geworden.

Ook vind ik het altijd fijn te lezen van mensen die net als ik overtuigd gelovig waren, maar uiteindelijk het licht van de rede zagen en het geloof vaarwel zeiden, zonder daardoor een depressief of immoreel persoon te worden. Het moment dat je stopt met geloven en zelf gaat nadenken is moeilijk in geluk te overtreffen.

Dit wilde ik graag even kwijt, en ik wil je nogmaals zeggen hoe dankbaar ik je ben voor al je artikelen. Keep up the good work!
