Beste Bart,

Ik ben een "ex-atheist" die is bekeerd tot Jezus Christus. Terugkijkend was ik nooit zo recht in de leer denk ik...Veel van de argumenten die je aanvoert heb ik ook gebruikt, en je doet het met intelligentie en met verve.

We zien de laatste wel tijd dat 'religie' en geloof helemaal terug zijn in het publieke debat, niet in de laatste plaats door atheisten (agnosten) als Dawkins c.s.

Zou het mogelijk zijn, denk je, dat ook jouw website helemaal past in het plan van God om mensen weer aan het denken te zetten? Een van de meest gebruikte woorden op je site is "god" of "theos", en het is lastig zoveel te praten over iets dat niet bestaat.

De Bijbel zegt immers toch dat God ook de ongelovigen gebruikt om Hem te verkondigen (Rom 1:21 ev).

Beste Johannes, 

Religie en de kritiek daarop krijgen inderdaad weer wat meer aandacht, maar volgens mij is dat vooral zo in de VS. Hier merk ik er niet zo veel van. Dat ik het op mijn site veel over God heb, is natuurlijk inherent aan het onderwerp. Past mijn site in het plan Gods? Voor mij is dat een onzinnige vraag; zo'n plan is er immers niet. Als er daadwerkelijk een plan van God zou bestaan, zou dat evangeliseren vrij zinloos maken: God weet immers al wie gelovig en wie ongelovig zullen sterven. Geen sterveling kan daar dan wat aan veranderen.

Als er daadwerkelijk een plan van God zou bestaan, zou dat evangeliseren vrij zinloos maken: God weet immers al wie gelovig en wie ongelovig zullen sterven.
